Start here. Projects deliver solutions; change management makes sure people actually use them. This tracker follows every impacted group from first awareness to lasting adoption, so go-live isn't the finish line.

How it works

  1. Assess impact: list every group affected by the change, how many people, and how much changes for them.
  2. Track readiness: move each group through five stages as the change progresses.
  3. Listen: log concerns and resistance by theme, and respond before they spread.
  4. Train: track sessions and attendance by group.
  5. Measure adoption: after go-live, track whether people are really using the new way of working.

The five readiness stages

Stage What it means What helps
1. Aware They know a change is coming and why. Leader messages, town halls, FAQs
2. Understanding They know what it means for them personally. Manager conversations, impact walkthroughs
3. Committed They're willing to support it. Involvement, champions, addressing concerns
4. Capable They have the skills to work the new way. Training, job aids, practice environments
5. Adopted The new way is how they work now, and it sticks. Recognition, metrics, removing old workarounds
